Hunger Crisis Besieges Africa

A combination of violence, insecurity and prolonged drought, made increasingly worse by climate change, has left more than 20 million people across South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen facing the threat of famine and starvation.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is providing a range of lifesaving support across the affected regions. Our support includes the provision of: emergency food assistance; shelter; livelihoods support; peacebuilding activities; access to clean water; livestock activities; and cholera treatment and prevention.
