Local Partners
Through partnerships with local government and civil society entities, including faith-based and secular organizations, we are able to strengthen the capacity of the organizations in the countries where we work. The success of our nonprofit capacity-strengthening programs prove that strong institutions with capable staff can design, implement, evaluate, and sustain effective development interventions.
Our approach
The CRS approach to capacity strengthening has three main components:
- Build upon the existing capacity of individuals and teams, enhancing or developing new knowledge, skills and attitudes to improve performance
- Enhance or develop the systems and structures that institutions need to function effectively, adopt sound business process, work toward sustainability, and achieve their goals
- Accompany the people and partner organizations that we serve by providing coaching, mentoring and other methods of continuous learning; following capacity strengthening interventions such as workshops, organization design or on-the-job training.
