Flexible Deferred Pay Gift Annuity

If you would like to add even more flexibility to your planning, CRS also offers a flexible deferred gift annuity, which allows you to decide when your deferred annuity payments will start (within a determined time range).

Flexible Deferred annuities are also available to donors age 50 and above; however, payments cannot start until the annuitant reaches age 60.  You are eligible to receive a charitable tax deduction in the year that you open a gift annuity with Catholic Relief Services.

Much like a deferred gift annuity, A Flexible Deferred Gift Annuity provides all of the benefits of a charitable gift annuity with the added benefit that you do not have to immediately chose when payments start.  When you establish your gift, you will be provided a range based on your current age.  This range will include the earliest possible and latest possible start dates.  Each year you continue to defer the annuity, the annuity rate gets a little higher. 

When you decide you would like to start receiving payments you simply let CRS know.  If you do not elect to start payments by the lastest start date, CRS will automatically start payments at that time.  Our team would be happy to provide you details, including your specific range of dates and rates.
