Training Health Care Workers for Ebola
At least 100 health care workers have died from Ebola in Guinea, undermining the ability of the health care system to continue delivering routine services. Catholic Relief Services and our local partners are organizing training for more than 3,000 health care workers on when and how to use protective medical equipment. The training is supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development's Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance and the Centers for Disease Control. It includes lessons on proper hygiene, such as effective hand-washing and sanitation.
