You are here

Since 2000, CRS has carried out 145 projects to combat the human trafficking that feeds slavery worldwide. CRS works with schools and community groups to teach families how to stay safe and become more self-sufficient so traffickers can’t find their way in. For those who have escaped trafficking, CRS provides temporary housing, health care and psycho-social support using local counselors. Through partners around the world, CRS helps governments strengthen and carry out anti-trafficking campaigns and legislation, teaches educators about child rights and labor laws, and supports law enforcement agencies to do their jobs more effectively. By supporting CRS, you’re part of a worldwide effort to prevent human trafficking and eliminate modern-day slavery.

Defend Human Dignity

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. With 21 million victims worldwide, there are more slaves today than at any time in history. Our Catholic faith calls on us to defend life and human dignity, to fight conditions that lead to the enslavement of human beings.
