Northeast Nigeria Strategy

Emergency Response and Recover (2019-2021)

This updated CRS emergency strategy for relief and recovery in northeast Nigeria highlights the latest context and needs from one of the most severe crises in the world today. CRS has been providing comprehensive emergency support since July 2016 in Borno, an area devastated by the Boko Haram conflict, with a focus on food, living supplies, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and shelter. As the humanitarian crisis evolves, CRS is recalibrating its sectoral focus and geographic approach. This revised strategy highlights the evolved and expanding focus of CRS' implementation of lifesaving resilience programming in northeast Nigeria.
