m-Health in Kenya

Improving Health Outcomes for Children Living with HIV (CLHIV)

MWENDO, a USAID funded project, introduced the use of an m-Health platform to strengthen the caregivers’ involvement and support to HIV positive OVC in order to achieve viral load suppression. The platform is intended to educate caregivers on the importance of Direct Observation Therapy (DOT) and how to administer to adolescents, educate caregivers on the importance of HIV disclosure of adolescents in boarding schools to teachers/matrons, and to remind caregivers on support group schedules for adolescents.
