This report summarizes the findings, conclusions and recommendations of a conflict assessment commissioned by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the Catholic Church in West Africa. The conflict assessment supports the Sahel Peace Initiative (SPI), launched in November 2019 by CRS in cooperation with local partners in Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali and Niger.1
