CRS Sudan F2F project bringing hopes to thousands of farmers amidst conflict

Bina’ Aljusur ("Building Bridges") is a four-year USAID-funded Associate Award Activity implemented by Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The goal of the project is to foster sustainable, inclusive and broad-based economic growth between October 2022 and September 2026 by creating by creating new commercial bridges in the agricultural sector and linking the formal private sector with farming communities in selected rainfed agricultural zones. Despite the ongoing conflict, CRS continues to collaborate with key local stakeholders to address the impacts of conflict, food insecurity, displacement, and climate change. It exceeded its originally planned total project target of reaching 5,500 vulnerable farming households representing 36,300 individuals by reaching 6,955 households in East Darfur (46,167 individuals) in FY23. In FY 24, it greatly increased its reach by supporting 20,629 households (129,777 individuals) in three states.
