Better Parenting Curriculum: Community Discussion Guide

"Better Parenting Nigeria" is a parenting education curriculum for building caregiver protective factors in order to help parents provide better support to children. Its goals are to ensure that:

  1. Children and parents experience fewer conflicts;
  2. Parents make better decisions about the care of their children and are better able to solve problems; and
  3. Children feel more supported by their families to further their education and make good decisions and healthy life choices.

This discussion guide is intended to facilitate discussion and peer learning, during which participants can learn from each other’s experiences and support each other. It is designed for group session discussions, as well as for one-on-one guidance in the home. It should be used  with the "Better Parenting Nigeria" Facilitator’s Manual.
