Robyn Fieser
Deputy Director - Media Relations
Based in New York
Robyn is the deputy director for media relations for CRS. She raises awareness about CRS’ humanitarian and disaster relief programs, serving as a contact for key U.S.-based news outlets and coordinating coverage of emergency and development stories. From her base outside of New York, she travels globally to report in-depth stories on disaster preparedness and recovery, immigration, and climate change and its impact on small farmers for the agency’s fundraising and advocacy efforts. She speaks both English and Spanish.
Prior to her current position, Robyn worked as CRS' Regional Marketing and Communications Manager to CRS' Latin America and Caribbean region. Robyn came to CRS from the University of Maryland where she was a media relations specialist for the university’s biomedical research park. Prior to that, she was a reporter for Baltimore’s Daily Record, covering biotechnology, healthcare and municipal government. Robyn also worked as a reporter for the Capital News Service in Washington, D.C. and was a contributing editor for the United Communications Group. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
