What would the world be like if we didn't forget the poor? Pope Francis has made "a poor Church for the poor" a key element in his ministry since the start of his papacy. On June 26-28, Catholic Relief Services and the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace hosted an Impact Investment Conference which gathered business and church leaders to help the poor through their work. Crux asked President Dr. Carolyn Y. Woo on how business can be leveraged to make a difference:

“How can we use power and money to serve the poor? It was a no-brainer that the Church I love needs to have access to this type of skill to be able to find solutions to the challenges the poor face... with the scale and intensity of problems that we’re facing, it wouldn’t be enough to sustain them with philanthropy."
