Biography
Nell and her team help communities across the world resolve conflicts and change unjust structures, systems and policies. She is particularly focused on strengthening interfaith relationships within and between communities and recently visited countries in West Africa to help combat the increasing violence in the region.
Along with helping communities find the best way to reach peaceful solutions, Nell also trains CRS staff members how to teach peacebuilding practice to members of the community they work in. By providing trainings to the communities, members can succesfully continue peacebuilding practices after CRS leaves the country.
Prior to her current position, Nell returned to her native New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, where she focused on social healing and headed the Episcopal Community Services of Louisana.
