Biography

Based in Baltimore, MD, Julie Ideh serves as the global technical director of agriculture and livelihoods at Catholic Relief Services (CRS), a position she has held since 2022. In this pivotal role, Ideh orchestrates the strategic direction of the organization's agriculture and food security initiatives, managing a team of global advisors and regional specialists who work across nearly 60 projects worldwide.

With a focus on Africa, Ideh’s wide-ranging development career has spanned more than two decades, during which she has tackled issues such as poverty, malnutrition, climate change, and global food insecurity. Prior to becoming a global technical director for CRS, Ideh served as the country representative for CRS in Malawi and as deputy country representative for CRS in Nigeria.
