Domestic Summer Hire/Intern Program

Are you passionate about service for the common good and interested in international relief and development work?
Catholic Relief Services offers a paid, competitive Domestic Summer Hire program from June to August, lasting 10 to 12 weeks. Positions are advertised from March to May on the CRS career site. Summer hires work across various departments, performing tasks based on their skills and departmental needs. Supervisors provide regular guidance and support.
Orientation: The program begins with orientation and onboarding, introducing summer hires to CRS' vision, mission, and culture.
Brown Bag Learning: Staff from field programs conduct informal lunch sessions on programming initiatives. Summer hires can also organize their own group lunches and events.
Agency-wide Events: Summer hires can join events like ice cream socials and picnics.
Application: Opportunities are posted on the CRS Careers page. Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume. Successful candidates will be contacted for interviews. All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Positions are based on a 35-hour/week schedule, primarily at CRS headquarters in Baltimore.
Requirements: Positions are generally for current undergrad/grad students or recent graduates (within six months).
Location: CRS headquarters in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and regional offices in California, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Georgia.
Housing and Transportation: CRS does not provide housing or transportation. Interns and summer hires must cover relocation, transportation, housing, and food expenses.
