Most Rev. Nelson J. Pérez (Chair)
Archbishop of Philadelphia (PA)
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez was installed as Archbishop of Philadelphia in 2020. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Montclair State University and Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology degrees from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. He has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Centre, Bishop of Cleveland, and chair of multiple committees within the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. In December 2020, Pope Francis appointed him as a member of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America. This Commission is made up of bishops from around the world who have been tasked by the Holy Father with studying the Church in Latin America and working to provide it with every possible assistance. Archbishop Pérez began serving on the CRS Board of Directors in November 2022.
Mr. Richard H. Anderson
Wayzata, MN
Mr. Richard H. Anderson has over 30 years of experience leading major organizations in the transportation and healthcare industries. He graduated with a law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1982. Mr. Anderson held executive roles at Amtrak, Delta Air Lines, UnitedHealth Group, Northwest Airlines, and Continental Airlines. Currently, he serves on the boards of Cargill, Inc., Norfolk Southern Railroad, and Bridgewater Associates. His past board memberships include Airlines for America, the Greater Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. Mr. Anderson began his term on the Board of CRS in 2024.
Most Rev. Brendan J. Cahill
Bishop of Victoria in Texas
Bishop Brendan J. Cahill has been the Bishop of Victoria in Texas since 2015. He earned his Master of Theology degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. He is Chairman of the USCCB Subcommittee for the Pastoral Care of Migrants, Refugees and Travelers. He is a Member of the USCCB Subcommittee on African-American Affairs and the Chair-Elect of the USCCB Committee on Migration. Before being ordained Bishop of Victoria, he served in several roles as a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, including rector of St. Mary’s Seminary and director of the Secretariat for Clergy Formation and Chaplaincy Service. Bishop Cahill began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Sr. Enelless Chimbali, SBVM
Servants of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Blantyre, Malawi
Sr. Enelless Chimbali is a Religious from the Servants of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sisters in Malawi and Assistant Superior General in her community. She is a Senior Program Officer for All-Africa Conference Sister to Sister. She holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from Notre Dame University and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Business Information Technology from Greenwich University. She has served as Secretary-General and Chief Executive Officer for the Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa and as Secretary-General for the Association of Women in Religious Institutes of Malawi. Sr. Enelless began serving on the CRS Board in 2022.
Most Rev. Octavio Cisneros
Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn (NY)
Bishop Octavio Cisneros came to the U.S. as a political refugee in 1961. He earned his bachelor's degree from Niagara University and was ordained in 1971 after completing theological studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary. Serving in pastoral roles, he became Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn in 2006 and retired in 2020. Bishop Cisneros is vice-postulator for Felix Varela's canonization cause and chairs several committees at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Mr. Adrian Coppel
Chief Customer Officer, Grupo Coppel
Mr. Adrian Coppel is the Chief Customer Officer at Grupo Coppel, a leading retail and consumer finance company in Mexico. He holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from Technológico de Monterrey and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management. He serves on the boards of various civic institutions and foundations dedicated to social assistance, food security, and education. Mr. Coppel began serving on the CRS Board in 2025.
Ms. Jacquelyn Daylor
Partner, KPMG LLP
Ms. Jackie Daylor, a partner at KPMG LLP, has a 35-year career focusing on audit engagements for large global clients. She has held notable roles including National Managing Partner—Audit Quality and Professional Practice and Americas Audit Quality and Professional Practice Leader. Ms. Daylor serves on the boards of Women Corporate Directors Educational Foundation and Aim Higher Foundation, and she previously served on the boards of KPMG LLP and KPMG Americas Ltd. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and began her term on the CRS Board in 2025.
Rev. Michael J. K. Fuller (Secretary)
General Secretary, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
Fr. Michael J. K. Fuller, General Secretary of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, was ordained in 1997. He holds a doctorate in sacred theology and various degrees from the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary. Fr. Fuller previously served as executive director of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Secretariat of Doctrine and Canonical Affairs and as associate professor at Mundelein Seminary. He has published theological works and has been involved in spiritual direction and instruction for diaconate formation programs. He began serving as secretary for the CRS Board in 2021.
Most Rev. Daniel E. Garcia
Bishop of Austin, Texas
Bishop Daniel E. Garcia was appointed as Bishop of Austin in 2025. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, while attending St. Mary’s Seminary, and a Master of Arts degree in Liturgical Studies from St. John’s University. As a priest, he served in several pastoral roles in the Diocese of Austin and the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. He was ordained as the first auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Austin in 2015 and served as Bishop of Monterey in California from 2019 to 2025. Bishop Garcia began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Most Rev. Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv.
Archbishop of Atlanta (GA)
Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., has served as Archbishop of Atlanta since 2020. He professed his solemn vows as a Conventual Franciscan Friar in 1973 and holds degrees from St. Hyacinth College and Seminary, Emmanuel College, and Boston College. He served as a teacher, guidance counselor, principal, and pastor at various Catholic high schools and churches. He oversaw the building of multiple schools and churches during his tenure as Bishop of Savannah. He chairs the board of directors of the National Catholic Educational Association and serves on the board of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network. Archbishop Hartmayer began serving on the CRS Board in 2023.
Most Rev. Donald J. Hying
Bishop of Madison (WI)
Bishop Donald J. Hying was installed as Bishop of Madison in 2019. He received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University and his master's degree from St. Francis Seminary. As a priest, he served as a parochial vicar and later as a Team Member for La Sagrada Familia Parroquia in the Dominican Republic. He also held positions as Dean of Formation and Rector of St. Francis de Sales Seminary before becoming Auxiliary Bishop of Milwaukee in 2011 and Bishop of Gary in 2014. He began serving on the CRS Board in 2022.
Ms. Christina Lamas (Vice Chair)
Executive Director, National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry
Ms. Christina Lamas has served as Executive Director of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) since 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in social work from the University of Southern California. Prior to NFCYM, she served as associate director for the Office of Religious Education and division coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. She has held parish, regional, and national leadership roles and has collaborated with numerous ministry organizations in the U.S. and abroad, bringing expertise in leadership formation and pastoral outreach. Ms. Lamas began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Mr. Matthew M. McKenna
Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business
Mr. Matthew M. McKenna came to Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business in 2017 where he teaches Sustainable Investment and Corporate Responsibility. Before joining Georgetown, he was a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, developing programs that combined Federal grants with private investment. His career includes roles as a tax lawyer, Treasurer and Senior Vice President at PepsiCo, and CEO of Keep America Beautiful. Mr. McKenna has served on several for-profit and non-profit boards. He also serves on the faculty at Fordham Law School. He holds degrees from Hamilton College and Georgetown Law. He joined the CRS Board in 2023.
Most Rev. Evelio Menjivar-Ayala
Auxiliary Bishop of Washington (DC)
Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala was ordained as an auxiliary bishop of Washington in 2023. Born in Chalatenango, El Salvador, he migrated to the United States in 1990. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. John Vianney College Seminary and a master’s degree in theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Ordained as a priest in 2004, Bishop Menjivar has held pastoral roles and served as Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Washington. He joined the CRS Board in 2025.
Mrs. Karen Dolan Rauenhorst
Wayzata, MN
Mrs. Karen Dolan Rauenhorst earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota and provided nursing care for 20 years. She has served in leadership roles for professional nursing organizations and is a founding board member of the Aim Higher Foundation, supporting financial aid for students in Catholic elementary schools. She also serves on the boards of the National Catholic Educational Association, Creighton University, and the Mark and Karen Rauenhorst Family Foundation. She previously served on the CRS Foundation Board and joined the CRS Board in 2022.
Most Rev. Robert P. Reed
Auxiliary Bishop of Boston (MA)
Bishop Robert P. Reed was appointed and ordained as Auxiliary Bishop of Boston in 2016. He completed his priestly education at St. John’s Seminary and the Pontifical North American College in Rome. He also holds an advanced degree in Television Management from Boston University. Bishop Reed has served at multiple parishes and currently is pastor at St. Patrick and Sacred Heart Parishes in Watertown. He previously chaired the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Communications and joined the CRS Board in 2024.
Mr. John S. Scheid
CEO, Scheid Investment Group, LLC
John S. Scheid is the CEO of Scheid Investment Group LLC, a firm specializing in governance consulting and strategic investments that focus on innovative organizations supporting community revitalization. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and has certification in corporate governance from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to founding Scheid Investment Group in 2013, he was a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for 36 years, leading the Global Insurance Practice and the U.S. Insurance Practice. Mr. Scheid serves on multiple boards and began his service on the CRS Board in 2021.
Most Rev. Mark J. Seitz
Bishop of El Paso (TX)
Bishop Mark J. Seitz was installed as Bishop of El Paso in 2013, having previously served as Auxiliary Bishop of Dallas. He holds degrees from Holy Trinity Seminary and Saint John’s University. Bishop Seitz has made significant contributions through various pastoral assignments. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., and he actively participates in several committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He began his service on the CRS Board in 2020.
Most Rev. Anthony B. Taylor
Bishop of Little Rock (AR)
Bishop Anthony B. Taylor was installed as Bishop of Little Rock in 2008. He earned degrees from St. Meinrad Seminary College, the Gregorian University, and Fordham University. After ordination as a priest in 1980, he served in various roles, including vicar for ministries, overseeing international priests, and episcopal delegate for the cause of canonization of Fr. Stanley Rother. He has served on the board of directors of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., and on committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Bishop Taylor began serving on the CRS Board in 2020.
Ms. Ann Thivierge (Treasurer)
New York, NY
Ms. Ann Thivierge is a financial expert with extensive experience in global asset management, macro investing, and economics. She worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management for 30 years, with roles as institutional fiduciary advisor and lead portfolio manager for global macro (institutional clients). She later joined Greycourt, an advisory firm for high-net-worth families, where she was a senior member of its investment committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Policy and Development from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business. Ms. Thivierge started her tenure on the CRS Board in 2020 and has been serving as Treasurer since January 2022.
His Eminence Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R.
Archbishop of Newark (NJ)
Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., D.D., was appointed as Archbishop of Newark by Pope Francis in 2016 and installed in 2017. He earned degrees from Holy Redeemer College and Mount Saint Alphonsus Seminary. He professed his perpetual vows with the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) in 1976 and was ordained a priest in 1978. He served as Superior General of the Redemptorists (1997-2009), in the Roman Curia as Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (2010-2012), as Archbishop of Indianapolis (2012-2016), and as chair or member of various committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He was elevated to the College of Cardinals by Pope Francis in 2016. Cardinal Tobin began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Most Rev. Joseph J. Tyson
Bishop of Yakima (WA)
Bishop Joseph J. Tyson, who was installed as Bishop of Yakima in 2011, holds degrees in Russian and Eastern European Area Studies, Editorial Journalism, and International Relations from the University of Washington and a Master of Divinity from Theological College at the Catholic University of America. Ordained as a priest in 1989, he was ordained as Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle in 2005 and later served as the archdiocese’s Superintendent of Catholic Schools. Bishop Tyson is actively involved with several committees for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and began serving on the CRS Board in 2024.
Dr. Reynold Verret
President, Xavier University of Louisiana
Dr. Reynold Verret has served as president of Xavier University of Louisiana, the only Catholic historically Black college and university in the nation, since 2015. He previously held positions as provost at Savannah State and Wilkes Universities and dean of the Misher College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He graduated from Columbia University and earned his doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Verret began serving on the CRS Board in 2022.
Dr. Richard Win Tun Kyi
Executive Coordinator Socio-Pastoral Strategic Plan, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Myanmar
Dr. Richard Win Tun Kyi, with a medical degree from the Institute of Medicine 2 in Yangon and a master’s degree from the Asian Institute of Management, served as national director of Karuna Mission Social Solidarity (Caritas Myanmar) from 2013 to 2021. He has held leadership positions in World Concern Myanmar and Paung Ku, driving positive social change in remote rural communities. Dr. Win Tun Kyi has held leadership roles in Caritas Internationalis and has been a member of several United Nations-sponsored humanitarian teams and advisory boards, advocating for local leadership in relief and development. He began serving on the CRS Board in 2021.
Most Rev. Luis R. Zarama
Bishop of Raleigh (NC)
Bishop Luis R. Zarama, originally from Pasto, Colombia, was appointed as Bishop of Raleigh in 2017. He has earned degrees in Philosophy and Theology at Marian University and Canon Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Ordained as a priest in 1993, he served as Vicar General and Judicial Vicar for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Bishop Zarama previously served as Auxiliary Bishop of Atlanta and participated in the Santa Marta Group, combating human trafficking. He has served on multiple committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and joined the CRS Board in 2021.
