When Did We See You Sick?
Is there any sunrise as beautiful as the first morning you awake fully recovered from an illness?
Do you recall that feeling? You could breathe without a hitch, move muscles and bones freely. You finally felt fully alert and alive, and waking no longer brought threat of daylong pain. The rush of renewed energy following an illness is intoxicating.
For 2,000 years, your Church has brought healing in Christ's name—from the earliest days, when newly named Christians cared for the sick in their homes, to state-of-the-art hospitals of today.
Your Church remains deeply involved in health care for the poorest of the poor. For these people—as for those in the early days—their only hope is your support through your Church and Catholic Relief Services.
Couldn't Be Done
One of the best and most recent examples of that healing hand is They Said It Couldn't Be Done. If you haven't seen it, please watch it.
Another side of the Church's HIV work—turning the work over to local hands—shines in this story from Rwanda.
Barb From Nebraska
Let us introduce you to Barbara Gilman and her third-grade students, who are using CRS to help explore and understand the world.
This photo gallery will walk you through some of the many health care services delivered throughout the world. In Senegal, you'll see how weighing babies is part of CRS' overall health care strategy. And you'll see how you are delivering health care around the globe.
To Syria, With Love
Iraqi refugees streamed into Syria during the Iraq war. They often arrived with nothing but their clothes and the few belongings they could carry. See how your Church helps them with essential health care that they can't get anywhere else.
He Is Risen!
With a most joyous holy day approaching, we at CRS thank you for your support of CRS. We wish you a happy, healthy Easter.
