CRS History in The Gambia
CRS has a long history in The Gambia, starting in 1964, providing assistance to vulnerable populations. The program has undergone continuous growth and has transitioned from emergency assistance to development programming. In the more recent years, CRS The Gambia has seen a growth in local partnerships and a more robust involvement in various government-led multi-sectoral initiatives whereby the experience and expertise of our staff is in high demand. This reflects not only a high regard for our organization in-country but also a coming together of NGOs and government to share information.
