Caring for Creation

You are here

In June of 2015 Pope Francis released Laudato Si’his long-awaited encyclical on “human ecology,” or the interrelated relationship between humans and the environment. Catholic Relief Services, through our work overseas, witnesses this relationship as it affects the poorest and most vulnerable people. We encourage communities of faith to take the Catholic Climate Covenant’s St. Francis Pledge to care for creation and the poor. We also have a number of resources about our how our faith invites us to care for creation and how the environment impacts the poor.
