2014 Egan Journalism Fellowship
The deadline for applications is April 16, 2014.
Apply now for Catholic Relief Services' prestigious 2014 Egan Journalism Fellowship. All journalists working in Catholic media are encouraged to apply for a one-week, intensive international reporting trip to one of the countries where CRS works.
This fall, the fellowship will take place in the Middle East, where millions of Syrians have fled the ongoing violence in their country and are now struggling daily to survive.
Egan fellows will visit two countries, where refugees have fled. The countries will be chosen from three in the region: Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
CRS will announce the recipients of the fellowship, and the countries they will travel to, at the annual Catholic Media Conference, held June 18-20 in Charlotte, NC.
"I was very impressed with the access we were given to government officials and genocide survivors who were willing to share their experiences with us."Michelle Bauman, Catholic News Agency and 2013 Egan Journalism Fellow (Rwanda)
