BALTIMORE, MD, January 23, 2017 - Held for the first time in India, the 2017 ICT4D Conference: From Innovation to Impact will bring together public, private and civil society organizations from across the humanitarian and international development community to not only discuss the latest trends in digital inclusion but the wider use of data to support achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary gathering of inspiring leaders, thought-provoking speakers, and engaged participants from around the world to explore how innovation in technology is increasing the impact of development work to make a measurable difference in millions of people’s lives. Experts will examine common challenges and innovations pertaining to digital services, geospatial & big data analytics & visualization, data sharing & protection strategies, and smart devices & IoT (Internet of Things) solutions leading to financial inclusion and improved development outcomes.

The conference attracts a diverse audience of executives, senior managers, program leaders, field officers and senior technical advisors from disciplines ranging from agriculture, health, education, conservation and disaster management to data management, information and communications technology and financial services.

Past Conference attendees have come from 76 different countries and represented over 300 organizations including NGOs, private sector, multi-lateral and government organizations, and academic and research intuitions.

This year’s focus is on using data to accelerate the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals – creating a healthy, prosperous and just world.

There will be a host of sessions in line with the eight conference tracks:

It is organized by a consortium of partners: Anudip; Catholic Relief Services; Dalberg; DIAL; Esri; ICRISAT; iMerit; Mercy Corps; NetHope; World Vision International. This year the ICT4D Conference is expected to attract  1,000+ attendees, 350+ speakers, 30+ exhibitors over four days.
