"Jerusalem Mujadara"
Serves 4

Ingredients for Jerusalem Mujadara:
· 1 cup of lentils
· 2 cups of rice
· 4 cups of water
· 5 medium onions, chopped
· 1 teaspoon cumin
· olive oil

How to make Jerusalem Mujadara:
1) Boil the lentils and rice with 4 cups of water for 1- 1 ½ hours.
2) In a separate pan, sauté the chopped onions in olive oil with cumin until golden brown.
3) Add the onion and cumin mixture to the top of the rice and lentils.
4) Use salt and pepper to taste.
5) You can serve this with plain yogurt or green salad.
