Cambodia is known for growing rice, corn, and vegetables. CRS works with farmers in Cambodia to help them improve the amount of crops they grow so that they can feed their families.

Helpful Hints:


"Cucumber Salad"
Serves 4 people

Ingredients for Cucumber Salad:
· 4 peeled cucumbers, cut lengthwise
· 1 teaspoon sugar
· 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar
· 1 clove of garlic, chopped up or minced
· 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
· 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
· Hot sauce
· Salt

How to make Cucumber Salad:
1) Cut the cucumbers lengthwise.
2) Sprinkle a pinch of salt on the cut sides and then put them face down on a paper towel to drain.
3) After 30 minutes, pat the cucumbers dry and cut them into ½ inch pieces.
4) In a small bowl, mix sugar, rice wine vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a few drops of hot sauce together.
5) Put the cut cucumbers into a bowl. Sprinkle the mixture over them.
6) Toss the cucumber salad so that the cucumbers are evenly coated with the sauce.
