A Recipe From Bosnia-Herzegovina:

Quick Fact:
Bosnia-Herzegovina is a country in Eastern Europe that used to be part of the former Yugoslavia. The country has some natural resources such as coal, iron and lead but a good part of their land is used as pastures for sheep and goats.

"Lukmira"
Sour Cream and Spring Onion Salad from Bosnia- Herzegovina
(Commonly served with lamb or salads)
Serves 4

Ingredients for Lukmira:
· 3 cups spring onions
· 2 cups cold sour cream
· 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to make Lukmira:
1) Wash and towel dry two bunches of spring onions.
2) Remove a little bit of both ends so you only have the green and white stalks.
3) Using scissors, cut the onions into pieces about 1/4 of an inch wide.
4) Place spring onions in a bowl, add salt.
5) Spoon in sour cream and stir until the onions are covered with sour cream.
6) Serve immediately or store in refrigerator until ready for use.
