CLERGY FORMATION

CRS offers clergy ongoing formation in Catholic social teaching and global solidarity to deepen vocational understanding of justice and service to the poor.

We provide presentations and workshops based on papal and episcopal documents. Sessions can be offered during convocations, continuing education, days of reflection or other events, and can be tailored to meet the needs of priests, deacons, seminarians or diocesan staff.

Presentation or workshops themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Year of Mercy
  • Catholic social teaching and the Ministry of Preaching
  • Global Solidarity and Parish Ministry
  • Pope Francis and a Poor Church for the Poor

BECOMING A GLOBAL FELLOW

Are you looking for an opportunity to enhance your own ministry? Consider becoming a Global Fellow.

CRS has three opportunities for priests and deacons to become part of the CRS Family:

Global Solidarity Supporters receive quarterly updates from CRS about resources for clergy and parishes as well as information about how the Catholic Community in the United States can respond to global emergencies.

Global Fellow Associates are active priests and deacons who receive resources for teaching about—and engaging their parishioners in—the global mission of the Church.

Global Fellow Ambassadors are active or retired priests and deacons with a passion for social justice who speak on behalf of the poor overseas in parishes throughout the United States.

Apply for the Global Fellows program.
