CRS in Equatorial Guinea

Catholic Relief Services promotes human dignity and improves the quality of life for people living in extreme poverty in Equatorial Guinea. Currently, Equato-Guineans have a life expectancy of only 48 years, due in large part to inadequate health systems and information. CRS concentrates on improving access to health care and information so that Equato-Guineans can realize their full human potential and the gift of human life.

CRS' History in Equatorial Guinea

Equatorial Guinea has recently seen an explosion in its natural resources sector, especially its oil industry. At 34%, the country currently has a rapidly growing economy. However, the majority of its citizens continue to live in severe poverty. In response, CRS focuses on meeting basic human needs and alleviating suffering.
