CRS History in Central African Republic

CRS began working in the CAR in 1999 during a brief period of peace and stability. Since that time, CRS has consistently attempted to provide relief to war-affected populations and to promote peace in the CAR. Staff in the neighboring CRS office in Cameroon continuously monitor the situation and maintain contact with a network of partners to provide basic services to the people, even in times of civil unrest.

CRS' activities in the Central African Republic are managed out of the CRS/Cameroon office.
