The Catholic Relief Services Caucasus program works in the three post-Soviet independent republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. While initially focused on providing humanitarian assistance, CRS is increasingly working to strengthen local partners,advocate for social change, and promote peace and reconciliation in this troubled region.
The people of the former Soviet countries of the South Caucasus — Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan — have experienced a disproportionately large amount of human suffering since the transition from communism.
