Acting Executive Vice-President, Human Resources
David has worked with Catholic Relief Services for 25 years in a variety of roles in including Country Representative in Eritrea, East Africa Team Leader in the then Overseas Support group, Director of Staff Development and Training in Human Resources, and Senior Director. Global Solutions in Global Knowledge and Information Management (GKIM). He began his current assignment as Acting Executive Vice-President for Human Resources in mid-December 2015.
His CRS career has included frequent travel to CRS field offices to facilitate leadership workshops, participate in regional meetings and carry out temporary duty assignments in Sri Lanka after the tsunami in 2004 and in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. He spent 14 years in Human Resources, David and his team worked on the development of competencies, revamped the CRS performance management system and created the CRS learning management system called CRSLearns. Moreover, he has participated in several strategic planning efforts in CRS. As Senior Director in Global Knowledge and Information Management, he guided IT professionals on ICT4D and identification of new software applications, with particular attention to the project management, relationship management, governance processes and the software development lifecycle.
David has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University. He grew up in from Rutherford, New Jersey in the Archdiocese of Newark.
